Why Saaci exists

Created by someone who cares

Saaci was created out of a genuine need for better support and organisation for people living with sickle cell disease. The reality of managing this condition — the pain, the appointments, the medications, the lab tests results, the fatigue — often comes with very little in the way of practical day-to-day tools designed with you in mind.

The founder behind Saaci, Eunice Bissaka, who independently designed and built the app from scratch, has seen and experienced how overwhelming it can be to navigate a chronic illness without the right support structure. That experience became the foundation for everything Saaci is built to do.

The goal is not to replace your care team. The goal is to help you show up to appointments informed, to understand your day-to-day patterns better, and to feel less alone while managing a serious condition.

🎯

Our mission: To give people living with sickle cell disease the tools, clarity, and calm they deserve every day.

About

A calmer way to live with sickle cell

Saaci was created to give people living with sickle cell disease the organised, supportive, and empowering tools that are so often missing from the everyday experience of managing a chronic condition.

What is Saaci?

More than a health tracker

Saaci is a mobile app built specifically for people living with sickle cell disease. It brings together health logging, hydration tracking, pain management, medication reminders, appointment preparation, breathwork, education, emergency information, and daily status awareness in one calm, well-designed space.

Most health apps are generic. They are built for a general audience and ask you to fit your experience around their templates. Saaci starts from the other direction: it is built around the specific lived realities of sickle cell disease.

The features in Saaci are not there just to look impressive on a feature list. They reflect what people actually deal with: tracking ferritin levels, logging pain episodes, managing hydroxyurea, preparing for haematology appointments, staying hydrated, and finding moments of calm on difficult days.

🎯

Our mission

To give people living with sickle cell disease the tools, clarity, and calm they deserve every day.

🌍

Our vision

A world where chronic illness is managed with the same quality of support, information, and dignity as any other health condition.

Why it exists

Sickle cell is underserved. That needs to change.

People living with sickle cell disease often have to manage a huge amount of health information without having the right tools to organise it clearly. That gap is what Saaci exists to help close.

Saaci was created from a place of genuine care and understanding of how overwhelming chronic illness management can feel, especially between appointments, hospital visits, and moments of crisis.

The app is not about replacing doctors or clinical care. It is about strengthening what happens in between: the structure, awareness, and support that make day-to-day life more manageable.

Our values

What guides everything we build

Built with purpose

Saaci exists because people living with sickle cell deserve better tools, not as an afterthought, but as a starting point.

🎯

Designed for clarity

🌿

Calm by design

Every part of Saaci is intentionally calming. You deserve a space that supports you, not overwhelms you.

Privacy first

Your health data is sensitive and personal. We take that seriously and do not use your data for anything beyond powering your experience.
